6:What types of ICF wall systems does Sunforest offer?

Sunforest offers Split ICF, Graphite ICF and 350mm ICF wall systems. Different configurations are available for different wall thicknesses, insulation requirements, concrete-core requirements and international shipping needs.

7:What is a Split ICF wall system?

A Split ICF system uses separate EPS side panels connected by engineered plastic connectors instead of shipping the block as one large molded piece. After assembly, it functions as an ICF concrete form while allowing the panels to pack more densely for international shipping.

8:Why is Split ICF useful for international shipping?

ICF is lightweight but bulky, so container space is usually limited by volume rather than weight. Split ICF panels can be packed more densely, increasing usable wall area per container and reducing freight cost per square meter compared with bulky one-piece forms.

9:What is the density of Sunforest ICF?

Sunforest's standard high-density export ICF uses 30 kg/m³ EPS. Product density and specifications should be confirmed for the selected ICF model before ordering.

10:What is the thermal conductivity of Sunforest ICF?

The laboratory-tested 900 × 300 × 250 mm white EPS ICF sample with a density of 30 kg/m³ recorded a thermal conductivity of 0.033 W/(m·K) at a mean temperature of 25°C. This value relates to the tested EPS material; the thermal performance of a complete ICF wall depends on the full wall assembly.

11:What is Graphite ICF? Is it the same as Graphene ICF?

Sunforest uses graphite composite EPS for its dark-gray high-insulation ICF products. “Graphene ICF” is also used as a market term for this product category, but graphite EPS is the more technically precise description.

14:Can I use different ICF wall thicknesses in one project?

Different ICF configurations may be used within one project, but transitions between wall systems must be coordinated with the architectural and structural design. Sunforest can assist with product configuration and quantity calculations, while final structural design and code compliance remain the responsibility of the project's qualified local professionals.

15:Does Sunforest manufacture ICF roof and floor systems?

Yes. Sunforest supplies EPS ICF roof/floor panel systems designed to integrate with ICF construction.

16:What is the size of the current ICF roof/floor panel?

The current panel size is 1200 × 600 × 240 mm and is supplied with C-channel steel reinforcement. The C-channel is supplied in 6 m lengths and can be cut according to project requirements.

17:How much ICF roof/floor panel can fit in a 40HC?

Approximately 500 m² of the current system can be loaded in one 40HC, including the corresponding C-channel steel, subject to final packing configuration.

18:What is the MOQ for the ICF roof/floor system?

The standard MOQ for the current ICF roof/floor system is one container.

ICF Bracing Systems — Selection, Setup & Customization

19:What is ICF bracing used for?

ICF bracing is used to support, align and plumb ICF walls during construction and concrete placement. A properly configured bracing system helps maintain wall alignment while providing working access during the pour.

20:What types of ICF bracing does Sunforest manufacture?

Sunforest manufactures three main ICF bracing systems: Standard ICF Bracing, Simple ICF Bracing and Foldable ICF Bracing. Customized and OEM configurations are also available.

21:What is the difference between Standard, Simple and Foldable ICF Bracing?

22:What material is used for Sunforest ICF bracing?

Sunforest's main ICF bracing systems use Q235 steel. Material thickness and component specifications vary by model and configuration; refer to the corresponding product specification or request a technical sheet before ordering.

23:What surface treatments are available?

Depending on the bracing model and project requirements, available options include electro-galvanizing, powder coating, painting, hot-dip galvanizing and other customized finishes.

For humid, coastal or long-term outdoor applications, tell us the project environment so we can recommend an appropriate finish.

24:What ICF bracing height should I use?

Bracing height should be selected according to wall height and construction requirements. 

For example, Sunforest's 3.6 m Standard ICF Bracing is commonly recommended for projects with approximately 3.2 m floor heights. For other wall heights, contact us for configuration guidance.

25:How far apart should ICF braces be installed?

A typical preliminary layout may use approximately 1–1.5 m spacing, with additional attention at corners and openings. 

Actual spacing should be confirmed according to wall height, ICF system, pour plan, site conditions and applicable safety requirements.

26:Can Sunforest ICF bracing work with other ICF brands?

Sunforest bracing can be configured for use with many commonly used ICF systems. Because block geometry and attachment details vary, customers using another ICF brand should provide the block specifications or drawings so compatibility can be confirmed before ordering.

27:Can I pour a full floor with ICF bracing installed?

The bracing system helps stabilize and align ICF walls during concrete placement, but pour height and sequence depend on the ICF system, concrete mix, placement method, vibration, wall geometry and engineering requirements. 

Follow the applicable ICF installation and structural guidance for the project.

28:Do you provide storage crates for ICF bracing?

Yes. Stackable storage crates are available to organize bracing components for transportation, warehouse storage and jobsite inventory management.

32:Can you customize ICF or ICF bracing from our drawings?

Yes. OEM/ODM development is available for suitable projects. Send your drawings, dimensions, target application, quantity and performance requirements for technical evaluation.

Ordering, Container Loading & International Shipping

33:What is the MOQ?

MOQ depends on the product. For example, the current ICF roof/floor system has a one-container MOQ, while ICF bracing MOQ depends on the selected model, customization and order configuration. Contact us for the current MOQ of the product you need.

34:How many Split ICF blocks fit in a 40HC?

Depending on the block mix and packing configuration, a 40HC can carry significantly more Split ICF wall area than one-piece forms. 

For example, a packing configuration based mainly on 900 × 280 × 300 mm straight Split ICF can reach approximately 490 m² per 40HC. Final capacity depends on the actual mix of straight blocks, corners, Tee blocks and inserts.

35:Can I mix ICF, bracing and accessories in one container?

Yes, depending on the order and available container space. Sunforest can evaluate mixed loading of ICF, bracing and selected accessories and prepare a container-loading plan before shipment.

36:Can I place a trial order before a larger order?

Depending on the product, trial or mixed-product orders may be possible. Sunforest has supported customers using smaller mixed shipments for product evaluation and demonstration projects before larger purchases.
