Standard ICF Bracing System: Professional Components for Accurate Wall Alignment
The Sunforest Standard ICF Bracing System is an engineered support and alignment solution designed for Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) construction.
The system combines several coordinated components to help contractors support, align and plumb ICF walls during construction and concrete pouring.
Each component has a specific function within the complete bracing system, from the primary vertical support to fine wall alignment, working-platform support and guardrail installation.
The main components include:
Strongback
Adjustable Leg
Bracket
Safety Rail
Galvanized Pins & Safety Clips

1. Strongback - Primary Vertical Support
The Strongback is the primary vertical structural member of the Sunforest ICF bracing system.
It is manufactured from Q235 structural steel and is designed to be secured to the footing or floor slab at the base of the ICF wall.
The Strongback is connected to the ICF forms using 6 mm screws. Pre-drilled mounting holes along the channel allow the platform bracket and turnbuckle bracing components to be positioned according to the construction requirements.
The components are secured to the Strongback using 12 mm galvanized steel pins with safety clips.
Provides the primary vertical support
Connects the bracing components together
Supports the platform bracket
Provides mounting positions for the adjustable bracing system
Transfers support forces toward the base anchoring point

2. Adjustable Leg and Turnbuckle - Flexible Height Adjustment
The Adjustable Leg uses a telescopic inner-and-outer tube structure.
It provides multiple adjustment positions, allowing the bracing system to adapt to different wall heights and job-site configurations.
Multiple holes along the adjustable leg allow the platform bracket and bracing assembly to be positioned at different heights.
This makes the standard ICF bracing system suitable for different ICF wall construction requirements.
Adjusts bracing height
Adapts to different ICF wall configurations
Provides multiple installation positions
Works together with the turnbuckle for precise alignment

3. Platform Bracket - Working Platform Support
The Platform Bracket is a rigid fixed-type component designed for strength and durability.
It connects to the Strongback through dedicated mounting holes and provides the connection point for the working-platform structure.
The bracket also incorporates guardrail post sockets, allowing the safety rail system to be installed as part of the complete ICF bracing setup.
Supports the working platform
Connects the platform to the Strongback
Provides guardrail post connection points
Integrates the working platform with the bracing system

4. Safety Rail - Guardrail Connection
The Safety Rail System is designed to provide guardrail connection points around the working platform.
The guardrail post is inserted into the dedicated socket on the platform bracket and secured using locking pins.
The post includes two rail holders for fixing wooden handrails.
The product manual specifies that wooden rails should be installed on the inner side of the working platform for job-site safety.
Provides guardrail post connection
Supports wooden handrails
Integrates with the working platform
Helps organize the working area around the ICF wall
Important: Installation and use must follow applicable national, state and local job-site safety requirements.

5 Galvanized Pins & Safety Clips – Secure Component Connections
The Standard ICF Bracing System uses 12 mm galvanized pins to connect components to the Strongback.
Safety clips are used to lock the pins in position.
The system's installation hardware and locking pins are manufactured from galvanized Q235 structural steel, providing durability and improved corrosion resistance.
These connection components are small but critical to the complete bracing system because they allow the major components to be assembled, adjusted and secured efficiently.

6. Q235 Steel Construction & Surface Treatment
The main structural components of the Standard ICF Bracing System are manufactured from Q235 structural steel, with a specified yield strength of at least 235 MPa.
The Strongback, platform brackets, adjustable legs and safety rails use a 2 mm steel thickness.
For enhanced corrosion resistance, the platform brackets, adjustable legs and safety rails receive a dual-layer surface treatment:
Electro-Galvanizing + Powder Coating
This treatment is designed to improve resistance to outdoor construction conditions, including rain, humidity, salt spray and windblown sand.
How the Components Work Together
The Sunforest ICF Bracing System is designed for rapid, one-person assembly:
●Secure Strongback to footing or floor slab at wall base
●Fasten Strongback to ICF forms using 6mm screws
●Install platform brackets and turnbuckle braces at desired positions
●Insert guardrail posts into platform bracket sockets; secure with locking pins
●Fix wooden handrails (2x4s) on inner side of working platform
●Adjust turnbuckle for fine wall alignment before and during concrete pour
The foldable design enables a single worker to carry, unfold, and secure each unit — reducing on-site labor requirements
