New Sunforest ICF Roof Panel: More Roof Area in One Container

For importers, distributors, and builders, the cost of an ICF roof system is not limited to the product itself. Container utilization, inland handling, storage, and onsite cutting all affect the final project cost.

Based on customer feedback and current international shipping conditions, Sunforest has developed a new compact ICF roof panel to replace the previous 431 × 600 × 5800 mm model.

The new panel measures 1200 × 600 × 240 mm and is supplied with 6-meter C-shaped steel channels, which can be cut according to project requirements.

The C-shaped steel channels are used to increase the strength of the roof system. Their 6-meter standard length also allows them to be cut according to the required project dimensions.

Final C-channel quantity, cutting dimensions, structural configuration, and installation method should be confirmed according to the project drawings and approved by the local structural engineer.


Nearly Three Times More Roof Area per 40HC

The previous 431 × 600 × 5800 mm steel-lined insulated roof panel has a coverage area of 3.48 m² per unit. A 40HC container can load 48 unitss, equal to approximately 167 m².

The new compact ICF roof panel can load up to approximately 500 m² in one 40HC container, including the matching C-shaped steel channels.

This means that one container can carry approximately three times the roof area of the previous model.

When comparing the same container freight cost, the shipping cost allocated to each square meter can be reduced to approximately one-third of the previous level

This is particularly useful for overseas importers and distributors seeking to control landed costs when ocean freight rates increase.

Actual loading quantities should be confirmed by Sunforest before shipment according to the final order composition and packing plan.

The minimum order quantity for the new Sunforest ICF roof panel is one 40ft container.

A full-container order makes it possible to use the available loading space efficiently and spread the international freight cost across a larger roof area.

More Flexible Installation for Irregular Roof Dimensions

Roof layouts do not always match the length of a standard long panel. Irregular sections and incomplete dimensions may require repeated cutting, which can increase onsite work.

The 1200 mm modular length gives builders more flexibility when arranging panels around non-standard roof dimensions. Smaller units can reduce the need for repeated cutting and make material adjustment easier onsite.

The 6-meter C-shaped steel channels can also be cut according to the required dimensions. This allows the panel and steel configuration to be prepared around the actual project layout.

For builders, the more flexible format can help reduce unnecessary cutting work and associated labor costs.

The new ICF roof panel was developed in response to feedback from Sunforest customers and changing market conditions.
