A New ICF Housing Project, a Carefully Considered Purchase
A builder in Southeast Asia needed 60 sets of ICF bracing for a new housing project. The contractor already had a regular bracing supplier.
The new project created an opportunity to discuss a different supply arrangement. The customer's budget was limited, but the equipment still needed to meet the agreed quality and project requirements.
Our discussions focused on four practical decisions: surface treatment, base plate construction, spare pins and packaging. Together, these shaped a customized standard ICF bracing order.

How We Tailored the ICF Bracing Order

1. A Surface Finish Selected with Maintenance in Mind
For this order, we selected electro-galvanizing followed by powder coating for the standard ICF bracing, without hot-dip galvanizing.
This decision formed part of the budget discussion. We also addressed the maintenance commitment associated with the customer's hot, humid operating environment: the coated surfaces would need regular attention during long-term use.
Sunforest's bracing manual calls for removing concrete slurry and mud after use, inspecting equipment before each use, and periodically lubricating the specified moving joint. For this customer, discussing upkeep was part of selecting the finish—not an afterthought.
2. Thicker Base Plates for the Customer's Site Requirements
The customer described muddy conditions on the construction site. In response, we increased the base plate thickness as a targeted reinforcement measure.
This change addressed a specific part of the equipment identified during the project discussion. It should not be interpreted as confirmation that bracing can be safely supported on any muddy surface; the installation and anchoring arrangement still needs to suit the actual site conditions.

3. Fifty Extra Pins for Everyday Site Management
Pins were identified as the accessories most likely to be lost on the customer's site. We included 50 additional pins at no extra charge, giving the contractor spare parts to keep on hand.
The addition was straightforward, but relevant to how the equipment would be managed. Customization can include the accessory supply as well as the main steel components.

4. Separate Component Bundles Occupying 2.37 m³
The customer did not require steel packing frames or dedicated storage crates for this purchase. We therefore packed the different components in separate bundles.
The complete order of 60 ICF bracing sets and the supplied accessories occupied 2.37 m³, with a total shipment weight of 1,600 kg.
These figures apply to this specific order and packing arrangement. Other bracing configurations or packaging choices require their own loading calculation.

Quality First, with Customization Where It Matters
Our approach was to review the customer's budget alongside the project requirements, then agree on the details that could be tailored.
The resulting order combined a selected surface finish, thicker base plates, additional spare pins and separate component packaging. Each decision responded to a requirement raised during the discussion.
This is how Sunforest approaches customized ICF bracing supply: establish the required quality and application needs, then adapt the product and supply details around them.

Our current production capacity is more than 500 sets per month, with a minimum order quantity of 50 sets. In-house structural engineers support drawing preparation and custom structural drawings, while packaging options include purpose-built, stackable storage crates.
Production lead time can be as fast as 15 days, subject to the agreed specification and production schedule. This refers to production lead time; international transit is scheduled separately.
For contractors planning a new purchase, we can review the bracing configuration, reinforcement requirements, finish, accessories and packing method together.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can Sunforest customize a standard ICF bracing order?
Yes. Customization can include structural details, surface finish, drawings and packaging. In this Southeast Asian case, the order included thicker base plates, electro-galvanizing plus powder coating, 50 complimentary spare pins and separate component bundles.
What maintenance was discussed for this order?
Given the customer's hot, humid environment, regular surface maintenance was discussed as part of the finish selection. The Sunforest manual also specifies cleaning off concrete slurry and mud after use, inspecting equipment before use, and periodically lubricating the specified joint.
How much shipping space did the 60 sets require?
This order occupied 2.37 m³ and weighed 1,600 kg in total. The components were bundled separately without steel frames or dedicated storage crates. These figures should not be applied automatically to other orders.
Can I order stackable storage crates instead?
Yes. Sunforest offers customized stackable storage crates. This customer selected separate component bundles, while other buyers can request crates as part of their packaging specification.
What are the MOQ and fastest production lead time?
Sunforest's ICF bracing MOQ is 50 sets. Production can be completed in as fast as 15 days, depending on the agreed specification and production schedule. Shipping time is additional.
